Hello  all . Just a friendly reminder that  those of us who  embrace our  modern  technology  of digital  QSOs need to  be  using WSJT X 2.0 ( my cw key is ALWAYS plugged in and  ready for use on all bands )   The newest digital software WSJT-X 2.0 is necessary  for QSOs using  modes FT8  and msk144. The latest  software WSJT-X 2.0 is available  online .For JT65 modes , I personally prefer  WSJT 10 as my preferred  program  but WSJT-X may be used with an updated call3.txt file that must be added to  WSJT-X 2.0. For the  January contest , I will be on 2 meters EME  (JT65b ) at various times during the  contest due to the  very low path loss that weekend  . The favored FT8 frequencies are 50.313 , 144.174 and 432.174 ..... As with operating  digitally during the contest  I recommend watching Ping Jockey as well as the ON4KST blogs for spotters ( and the W0UC spotter  ) . I will  be  found at various times on the EME1 page of Chris's ping jockey site  ) . Whatever mode you  prefer this contest , just get on and make some  QSOs - I have seen a bit of 50 mhz Es this week ... 73, Ron KA0RYT EN35CT
