Jon, K0FQA, passed away Monday at the age of 76.  His obituary is in the

Jon's struggle with Parkinson's had kept him away from the hobby in 
recent years, but over the years he was a key figure in VHF.  In 1984 he 
organized the first VHF Midwinter Break.  That annual gathering which he 
ran for five years evolved into the Aurora conferences, the organization 
of NLRS, and the idea of having monthly breakfasts.  His involvement 
with Central States VHF Society goes back probably almost to the 
beginning, and he served as an officer and board member for many years.

Visitation will be next Tuesday at 10am and service at 11am in Rogers.
