[NLRS] Tower sections from the W0AIH inventory

This summer we will be attempting to clean up some of the excess tower
inventory on the ground at the W0AIH antenna farm.  There are a LOT of
tower sections on the ground of all sorts and sizes.  I will try to take
a more detailed inventory later in May, but the following list will give
you an idea of what is available.  Consider this as you think about
future tower projects.

*ROHN*  (Paul was a big fan of Rohn!)
*25G & 45G* - there is quite a bit of both, lots in excellent condition,
some cutoff sections for use as bases.  There is also quite a bit of 45G
painted red/white.
*55G* - I'm sure there is some, but a closer look is needed to tell it
from the 45G
*65G* - I think there is 120' of premium tower, in 20' sections
*BX* - There are at least two stacks of self-supporting BX-type tower.
I'll need a tape measure to figure out exactly what they are
*SSV* - There is a very nice large SSV (self-supporting) tower, I think
120' or 140', but the sections are spread here and there. The base is
large, like 8' on a side.  I will need to find them all and get the
numbers off them.

*PIROD*
Some of Paul's nicest towers are 18" Pirod.  This is a solid rod type
tower in 20' sections.  There may be a couple hundred feet, although
several are top sections with solid plates.

*USFS Lookout Towers
*There are several guys around the area who helped Paul take down these
four towers about 45 years ago.  Until last summer they were stored
inside in Rochester, so they are in beautiful condition.  All
galvanized, virtually no rust.  I need to find Paul's file on them, and
there are also pictures taken during disassembly.
*
MISC*
There is a 140' Grassis, 46" face, with climbing ladder.

There is the nice tower that KB0IKP had at his place in St. Joseph. I
think it is 36" on a face and 120' tall, with a ladder.  This is set up
with Rohn 25G rotating out of the top - very cool!  The 20' sections are
all lined up.

There are lots of other towers.  Some big ones, 3'-4' on a face. Some
will go for scrap.  Maybe you want a big base for something, like 20-40'
for an EME array or a lookout or whatever.  Most have climbing rungs or
ladders.  There are other smaller commercial towers, 15-20" in 20'
sections.  Most likely will go for scrap.

*ACCESSORIES*
I know there are people who will want accessories, like guy brackets,
torque arms and the like.  All that stuff is stashed inside, and it's
not exactly a library.  That stuff is not a major priority right now,
but it can be available as I come across it. EHS guy wire, insulators,
etc.  Tower base insulators in many sizes, from something for a heavy
300' tower to nice bases for a small 40M or 80M vertical.

Speaking of verticals, there is a lot of heavy duty aluminum pipe in 20'
sections, 5 or 6" diameter.  This is the same stuff Paul used for the
bobtail curtains and the 80M vertical array.  I believe they are
structural members from big farm irrigation sprinklers.  (Not the thin
tubing for conducting water;  there is a bunch of that also, probably 5"od.)

*THE FARM*
Mary continues to live at the Farm for the foreseeable future.
Ultimately we will probably offer it intact: 120 acres, nice house,
towers and antennas.  There are houses on my street which sell for more,
and I'm not in that fancy a neighborhood, so it will be very
approachable for one of the largest amateur installations in the world.

Let me know your needs, and I'll try to sort it out as the summer
progresses.  Pass the info to your friends, and at Dayton.
