On my vintage DEMI 10 GHz crystal controlled transverter I added a 40
degree C PTC thermistor. I give it 10 to 20 minutes with power applied
before getting on the air and I haven't heard any comments about
drifting, have you noticed my frequency changing while transmitting? I
also surrounded the crystal and thermistor with Dow blueboard foam and
have minimized the RF drive so the IF dummy load doesn't add serious
heat to the transverter. Unfortunately that type of thermistor is no
longer sold as far as I can tell.
