Using Google Maps, I get 6 hours 41 minutes for 450 miles, including 5 minutes added for bad traffic through Des Moines at this time. (2230Z). That is an average speed of 67 miles per hour. Perhaps a bit optimistic, but more in line with what one would expect.
Are you sure that you or Google didn’t drop the 41 minutes?
Looking forward to seeing you in Wichita! - Duffey KK6MC

That can't be allowing foor city zones at 65 or 55 and construction zones at 55. I know on I-35 around here that when I set the cruise for 75 (and my GPS says the speedometer is exact) that there are a few vehicles that pass me while I pass many. That google is not google maps but just using googe search for the distant location then clicking on maps to get directions, distance, and time.

In stretches of roads where real time speeds are available these are taken into account as well as being displayed on the map. Many of the common navigation apps, such as Waze, will calculate routes that are faster than the routes through the construction zones. - Duffey KK6MC

The northernmost segment in Iowa runs from the Minnesota border to about three miles north of US 20 over 50 miles but the actual work zones may be shorter.
