Congratulations to the team ! It looks like a year of planning and promotion


led to a record turnout of participants and lots of opportunity to be Radio-Active.
Kudos to the Rovers for a grueling two days of travel, setup, operate, pack it up,
REPEAT. 14 operators tearing up the track on the North Shore appears to be
a record. Our peak rate of 28 contacts in 16 minutes is a personal best for
the KC0P/N0HZO twofer. During that time the 14 rovers also worked KB8U
in the rotation. The plan worked well. Thanks for all the fun. It was also a thrill
to work the five stations in Marathon and the locals at Copper Harbor.
 
Even got a visit from the local official at Brockway.. He got a report of several
operators at Great Sand Bay when he got to church, and he came up to
welcome us, and invite us to come back again. We had our Official Papers
on Display, so we were in compliance. He was very proud that the Township had
successfully purchased the 400 acres on top when somebody else was trying
to arrange Condo construction.. We lucked out. Thanks to everyone.
