  Comments:

  I did awful. Stayed at the Midwest Convention until after 3 PM, then 
mounted the rover halo antenna and headed for home.
  Used the beacon feature of the FT-857 to call CQ every couple minutes. 
Heard no answers, other than once I heard two voice
  syllables that were off frequency and I didn't understand them.

  Several stations that have been on in previous UHF contests were at 
the convention, K0DAS presented two one hour forums, I
  blame the convention for killing the UHF contest in Iowa. It was a 
good hamfest as usual from CVARC.
