With the Midwest ARRL Conventioin running 8 AM Saturday to after 5 PM
Sunday, I expect very little Iowa activity. My home antennas are not
working well and the rotor isn't working at all. My plans are to leave
home about 6 AM Saturday morning, get to Central City about 8 AM, Visit
the indoor and outdoor flea markets, listen to K0DAS morning
presentation on finding Amelia and maybe his early afternoon ARRL Forum,
then fire up the single band rover on 432.1 and head south in EN42 to
EN41 and then west to EN31 though once I'm west of Cedar Rapids the
dividing line between 42 and 41 or 31 and 32 is just a few miles north
of US30 so if I make a contact I can sweep to the adjacent grid easily.
My next destination will be the Midwest Antique Power Association show
west of Marshalltown. Likely be back on the road by 5 or 6 PM. If I
listen to Rod's ARRL forum my time beginning will be about 2 PM, other
wise more like 1 PM. I'll be running 20 watts to a simple halo so I
won't have great range.

I won't be on on Sunday from home because of the broken rotor and maybe
antennas.

Practically abandoning the contest due to the convention. If I don't
find K2DRH and AC0RA/R I may noto make any contacts at all.

73, Jerry, K0CQ
