Hello Tim, BCers and NLRSers,
K9JK/R will be out and trying to give 222 some 'respect' around the local
)to me anyway) Elk Grove Village Grid Corner (EN51/52/61/62)...hoping that
I can coax a few watts of 'respect', er, RF out of 'ye olde' FT-736R. Will
mostly be on my KU4AB omni loop but will have my 5 element yagi and
painter's pole if conditions (and activity) warrant. No working PA for 222
so this will be a 'hearing test' for most of you (sorry). I plan to hang
around the calling frequency, likely going down to 222.090 if 100 gets busy
and I will also check 223.5 FM. Maybe someone who is on LotW will work me
on CW to get that Mode on 1.25 Meters (in addition to "Phone") for the IGC.
>From a prior e-mail exchange with W9XA, it sounded like Kermit will be on
for EN51 and maybe W9ZIH will also 'light up' EN51. NOW just to find
someone to work in EN62 so I can get the local 4 myself.
I'll also be sending a reminder to K2DRH so we might have EN41 'in the air'.
Maybe someone who is on LotW will work me on CW to get that Mode in
addition to "Phone" for the IGC.
It is "Spring" right? (But I guess we should be thankful here around the
42nd north parallel, things are a little different up toward the 44th and
45th so I hope everyone up that way has survived and managed to dig out.)
73, JK
