[NLRS] Aurora'18 and final call for Wesslund Award nominations

Aurora'18 is a short two weeks away. In the morning will be tailgating, 2m through 24 GHz antenna measurements, and a 6m MSK144 demo. If you are bringing antennas for the range, please following the Antenna Measurement information found in the registration information so that we can plan accordingly. Card checking for any ARRL awards will also be available. Lunch is on your own. We will kick off the inside technical program starting at 1:00 and wrapping up around 4:30. Last call for Wesslund Award nominations:
It is with honor that I announce that nominations are now open for this years recipient of the NLRS Wesslund Award. I would like to note that this is the 15th year of the Wesslund Award.
The purpose of the Wesslund Award is as follows: "The Wesslund Award honors Robert (Bob) Wesslund, W0AUS, for his many years of significant contributions to the Northern Lights Radio Society and for his continuous work with mentoring others in the World Above 50 MHz. This award is presented annually to recognize those NLRS members who have assisted others in gaining knowledge and access to the bands above 50 MHz."
Past winners of the Wesslund Award are Jon Platt (2017), Mel Larson (2016), Chris Cox, N0UK (2015), Dave Kleindal, N0KP (2014), Gary Danelius, WB0LJC (2013), Bruce Richardson, W9FZ (2012), Barry Malowanchuk, VE4MA (2011), Paul Husby, W0UC (2010), Bill Davis, K0AWU (2009), Rich Westerberg, N0HJZ (2008), Gary Mohrlant, W0GHZ (2007), Jon Lieberg, K0FQA (2006), Donn Baker, WA2VOI (2005), and Bob Wesslund, W0AUS (2004).
Nominations may be made in written form (email, USPO, direct copy, etc) and given to one of your NLRS club officers (W0ZQ, N0KP, KA9VVQ). The award will be presented at Aurora'18 on April 21 during the afternoon business meeting. The award committee, comprised of the three club officers, past presidents, and a membership representative, shall review all written nominations and make the final selection. Written nominations should be short but should exemplify those attributes outlined above.
Please give this award your thought and considerations and submit your nomination(s) before April 8, 2018.
