Looking forward to "running the table" with those that operate from Jim's. Jim and I often work on SSB.
I am exploring portabe location/s away from home that could add some fun. Not sure yet, should know this week, I HOPE. Need access to secured area/s is the issue plus tree growth in the last 20yrs.

'Morning, Jim.
Thanks for the offer, and I think I'd like to take advantage of it. If you'd like, I can
also bring along the 1296 antenna stuff and we can see what your stacked Cheap Yagis do.
I think I know what happened to the measurement at Aurora and why nothing worked. The
antennas I took to CSVHFS measured as I expected them to do. At Aurora, ALL the 1296
antennas measured about -30dB except the reference horn.

I plan to work the Sept weekend from the home QTH as I've done in the
past...
Some have asked if they could operate here as well and I would sure enjoy
the company...all are welcome.... it's EN35rj @ 1240 ' EL. I'll even
spring for
brats & chips... With a little ingenuity there's a fair amount of room
on the
west side of our house. Plug 1213 207th, St Croix Falls, WI into Google.
For bearings, our house faces directly North & 207th street approaches the
cul-de-sac from the NW.
There are a couple of disadvantages....if the rovers choose to travel
North along the SD border to the Red River Valley.
First, it's probably another 90-100 km distance to rovers when compared
to the other sites.
Second, I have decent horizon from about 140 around to
275 and will be blocked when rovers reach the SD-ND border entering the
into the Red River Valley...These rovers would again become barely visible
with tree losses at 320 until 0. Moving dishes to the front helps
narrow this
blockage somewhat but still an issue for the north end of the rove.
So, if the fixed group is unable to find a site for the second weekend, I
thought I would let you know all are welcome here if it turns out that this
is the best of our options....
