By now everyone should know that AEI closed its doors, ABC closed its doors
and alas Radio Shack did the same leaving us in a parts and pieces black
hole. Well at least In know where ALL the AEI stuff went. There is a
place, D&D Recyclers, out HWY 10 just past the Anoka Technical School on the
same side that is a rummager's paradise and they have all the AEI parts and
pieces and stuff. This location is a recycler so a lot of stuff is rendered
down to its metal for scrapping. You need to get there sooner than later.
The owner is Dennis Blue and you can work your best deal with him on stuff
you might want. You will have to do some digging but it should be worth it.
I did see RF connectors, tubes, components, wave guide parts, magnet wire,
solder, pots, transformers, computer parts, audio stuff.etc, etc, etc. He
has a very large warehouse of stuff and semi trailers that he has not even
gotten into yet. One trip will never do. You will probably want to go back
ever week, especially since there new s*** coming in every week. This is a
Bruce paradise.
Give Dennis a call and set up a meet. There are no real hours but he is
often there even on Sunday.
