I echo Jon’s sentiments. I think N5ZGT and the organizers have put together a good program. The VLA tour on Thursday will be led by someone who works there and is something that the public does not get to see often. The conference hotel is right next to the airport, one can literally walk there in a few minutes, so you can get by without a rental car. There is lots of interesting things to do in Albuquerque and the surrounding area, so if you bring the family, they will not get bored while you are at the conference, and you can add a few days to the beginning or end of the conference to explore. If you like to eat out, Albuquerque has a number of excellent eating spots that are reasonably priced. Albuquerque is also a microbrewery mecca with more than a dozen local microbreweries to visit. Not your father’s Hamm’s.

The weather will be hot at the end of July, but not oppressive as the humidity is very low. The evenings cool down and are very comfortable.

We are looking forward to having you visit Albuquerque and attend the CSVHF. - Duffey KK6MC

Yes Albuquerque is a long way from Minnesota, but that is one of the positive facets of each years conference as it moves around; to see new places and to place faces to the many 6m Q's that we have with each other. Yes, its not cheap to go, you going to have to fly or drive, but for me its an investment in my learning that applies not only to my hobby but to my work and personal life as well. Heck, its fun.
