[NLRS] TS-711 tuning dial encoder problem

Ebay has tuning encoder units for various Kenwood radios. Somebody
must be scrapping old radios. You might want to check to see if any
are interchangeable or can be modified to fit. I assume you've asked
Kenwood for service parts. Worst case you may need to take what you
can get and build or program an encoder interface that translates to
the code format you need. You may need to take the same way out and
scrap your old radio then buy a new one.

Another option, not as good for roving, would be to use an old laptop
for computer aided control of the radio. But you may need to buy the
IF-10A interface.
