Hi Jon
I just went back to a pair of big wheels that N0IRS gave me for the bcn on 432.320. I was testing an Alford Slot for 2 mos. My question is how do you hear it now vs before I went back to the big wheels yesterday.
I spent time fiddling with the slot but never was sure the thing was right.
I will add a second horn on the 1296.320 bcn and favor Minn. It's now feeding a horn pointed east.

Hi Steve.
At 9:30am this morning I have very light copy on your 432 beacon. On QSB peaks I can make out letters, on the fade I can tell its in there but cannot copy letters. On my radio I copy it at 432.319.36. Running a FT897D with a ARR preamp and a single CC424B converted to K1FO yagi at 60' fed with CATV hardline.
Thanks for the beacon, I was actually wondering if my 432 was working properly.

Hi Gents
I have two beacons running from EN52gb. 100 miles west of Chicago.
432.320 100 watts to an Alford Slot Horizontal antenna. Runs from 6 AM Central time until 6:30 PM Central time.
1296.320 30 watts. Runs 24/7 although I may cut it off overnight from 10 PM until 6 AM Central time. Antenna is a horn at 70 feet pointed east. I intend to put something up to make it more or less omni when I have time. KU8Y 160 miles east of me hears it all the time just out of the noise. It is S5 in Chicago at N9IYVs place.
Reports would be appreciated.
