Hello . I did a laid back version of January contest this year. I left the farm at around 2am and didn't get back there until around noon or so on Sunday . I also opted out of 432 operating and did some climbing Saturday morning , installing a 6meter moxon on the side mount on the silo there. I wanted to really get some on the air experience with MSK144 AND was figuring that local 432  activity was going to be at it's usual winter low ......
On  6 meters I had 15 QSOs by 8 grids then on 2 meters I ended up with 54 QSOs by 27 grids . I operated no EME on 2 but MSK144 grids worked were
 - EM13 , FN01 , DN22 , DN17 ,DM76 , and EN61 .........
I am here to tell you that MSK144 is going to change VHF contesting as we know it ! On 6 and 2 it does really allow for meteor scatter QSOs at anytime of the day ! Also , on 6 - I found that it's easily accomplished with just 100 watts and a moxon !! Using the FT-991 with  the single USB cable , the Yaesu internal sound card performed flawlessly . I foresee rovers doing MSK144 while driving and other down times !!
