I had hoped the unusually mild and stagnant weather might give us a bit
of enhancement, but no such luck. 432&up were noticeably down Saturday
and into Sunday afternoon, when the lifting fog seemed to improve
conditions quite a bit on 902 & 1296. 6 & 2 were pretty average the
whole weekend, with no significant enhancement noted.

If you only sat on the calling frequencies and waited for the activity
to come to you, this would have been a slow contest. But if you track
the rovers, follow the spotting page, chase down some people on ON4KST,
try the digital frequencies and maybe some eme, there is plenty to keep
one busy. The guys on digital all report excellent activity on the new
MSK144. W9FZ, KA9VVQ, KC0P and N0HZO provided a lot of rover contacts
to those who kept track of them, as well as other rover activity from
N0SPN, K9JK and KE0FMX.

I was analog only, with best DX on 144 & 222 K0TPP EM48 at 440 miles,
and 432 K9MRI EN70 at 409 miles.

Thanks to W0AIH for plowing a road to the shack, though it proved too
muddy and slippery to traverse in my van! Thanks to everyone who got
on, and please send your logs in. This is one more chance for you to
earn another chip in the prize drawing at Aurora '17. Mark your
calendars: April 22, hope to see you there!
