Hello Gents
Well I have lost track of how long I have been doing this net but I have to say 432 activity has gone from nothing to a band on which you will find activity any time you make some noise. Usually KC9KCR is monitoring 432.110 from EN52 all day long. Thanks Gordon. He does a great job and he has a great setup. He hears better than I do a lot of the time and I have twice the antenna as he does. That motivates us all to do something to improve our systems. Remember that the first thing to focus on is as large an antenna as you can put up with the best feedline you can find. ABOVE the trees. W1FZJ SK said "If it stayed up all winter it wasn't big enough".
Power is great but does nothing to allow you to hear the weak distant stations.
See you all Monday night starting with my antenna pointed at Ks. then turning S, SE, E etc. ending looking SW again at about 9 PM CST. If you use the ON4KST 144/432 Region 2 chat site we will have a much better chance of hearing you if you are way off in the boonies.
Thanks all for your help picking up the weak ones I can't hear.
