Hi Guys

Please check out my beacon on 432.320 which runs 6 AM to 6:45 PM CDST.

I changed the coax around the rotor and now SWR is 1:1.2 instead of 2 : 1. It's a 2nd version of the Alford Slot I have been playing with for a couple of months. It's a 4.4 inch diameter pipe about 4 feet long fed in the middle of the 1 inch wide 40 inch long slot with a 4 to 1 balun balanced 200 ohms.. Horizontally polarized. Slick idea I scaled down from a microwave omnidirectional antenna. It has 4 dbd gain where I believe most all Omni antennas have negative gain over a dipole unless you start stacking them. Listen for it please. Remember it goes off at 6:45 PM. Comes on at 6 AM CDST.
