Wow.  Jerry was a huge Elmer for me.  Much of what I know about VHF+, I know
from listening to Jerry.  He took me to my first CSVHFS Conference in
Memphis in 1994.

When I was flying C-130s in Milwaukee, MANY nights I'd go over to Jerry's
house and hang-out.  I learned mixers, matching, MMIC's and more.  But to
learn all that I did, I had to sit through MANY hours about aliens :-) .  He
had a series of books and movies in his head--and I heard all of them told
late into the night.  

Jerry really looked up to and had the highest respect for Dr Tom Clark,
K3IO.

I recall a nice 10 GHz rove in SW and Central Wisconsin with N0UK, K0HAC,
Jerry WA9O and me in 2007.  I will rummage around for pictures.

I tried to show my appreciation, along the way, for what I was learning and
had learned.  Can't thank him going forward, but I'll maintain fond memories
of my time with Jerry.
