I want to thank those of you who have submitted comments. I am asking
the rest of you to review the proposal and e-mail your feedback.

I have been added to the ARRL VHF Contest Revitalization (VCR)
Committee and attended my first meeting this week.

Much discussion was had and I think you can add valuable input to
several aspects of the proposed contest:
Date: May vs. August. We Northerners need to speak up if May is too early.
Rover rules: Is one rover category sufficient? Too many or too few
entry categories?
Scoring: Distance based, multiply your score a band factor to
determine score. The higher the QSO in frequency the higher the
multiplier. How does EME QSO scoring fit into this scheme?
Do you think the contest software developers can adapt to the new rules?
Team competition: Do you like it? Can we create useful teams in our Divisions?
Contest regions: ND SD VE4 VE5 are in one region and MN WI IA in a
separate division. Does this regional breakout work for us? Do we
need regions at all?

All the details of this proposal are spelled out in a PDF within the
following web page:

Please e-mail your comments to vhf-input at arrl.org by June 15. The
entire committee gets e-mail sent to this address and we look forward
to reviewing your suggestions and comments.
