[NLRS] Up a creek without a relay - K0MHC/rover un-plan

Well, you can see that our arrangement didn't work out very well. In order
to reduce our seasonal moving trauma, my wife agreed to cut back on the
number of shoes that she would bring along if I would cut back on the number
of spare parts that I'd bring along. But, you can never tell what you're
going to need when Murphy intervenes. Thanks to Donn, USPS, FedEx and UPS I
now have my missing parts in transit.

Assuming that I can get this all together, we're looking at probably roving
Saturday (if ready) and Sunday.

The bands that we'll have up and running are somewhat questionable at this
point. Hopefully, we'll try to have the yagi bands (ABCD) and the dish bands
(H&I) up and running. Other contenders are the looper bands (E&G).

In any case, you'll need some patience when working us given the amount of
setup required (rover mast, dish tripod and microwave-on-a-stick) with our
weaker signals given the distances involved.

Our route(s) will be weather dependent. Given a favorable forecast, we're
looking at going south (EN14, 15, 16, 25 & 26) one day. Then going east
(EN36, 35, 34 and maybe 33) the other day.

Coordination will be by self-spotting via our cell phone and Paul's Upper
Midwest VHF+ spotting page.

Hope to hear you on!

Subject: Up a creek without a relay

I'm trying to get the rover setup for next weekend but, just realized that
one of my 28VDC SPDT microwave relays is kaput. Does anyone have a surplus
relay that they could stick in the mail on Monday? It should be 28 VDC,
SPDT with SMA connectors to fit into the current setup. It's only used for
an IF switch at 144 MHz so, it doesn't have to be a low loss super relay. I
do have a 28VDC latching relay with me but, it would over complicate the
current setup.

If you take PayPal it would be great.
