N9EM Was given free a 3cx400 (pair) first class HB  kw amplifier by WB2BYP
with spare 3cx400 Eimac tubes.

It came from K1RQG’s estate. K1RQG SK wanted it to go to someone who would
actually use it. John N9EM was chosen. He’s enthusiastic and eager to learn.

He puts out a great signal with only 80 watts now so this will put him in
the big gun category for sure.

John in Cottage Grove, Wisconsin will now be a formidable signal all over
the mid-west with his pair of 25 foot HB YU7EF yagis he and I built. He has
7/8 inch Heliax feed line. 

KB9YSJ and I will help him put together a power supply and get it
operational ASAP. We are looking for a transformer that will produce
1500-2000 volts at a bit over ½ an amp. I have a Variac and a HV cap to
donate. I will put together a bridge rectifier or whatever the transformer
requires. Please look in your junk box and see if you have a transformer you
don’t need. Something like a Transco “Y” relay would be useful as well.
