It is certainly disappointing that they closed "our" OCBs. What I
liked best about OCB for breakfast was the buffet aspect. It included
everything I liked for breakfast with all the beverages I want. Of the
three left, Burnsville & Coon Rapids are about as far apart as you can
get. Burnsville & Maple Grove might make more sense, but they are
still a long way from Richfield & Roseville.

Many years ago another club had board meetings Sunday morning at
Denny's. The best thing about Denny's right now is the "Grand Slam
Slugger" breakfast with a large OJ and unlimited coffee for $8. I've
been going there with a friend on Thursdays when there is 20% off for
seniors. It is 15% off any time if you have an AARP card.

But the OCB-style breakfast buffet is what I'd prefer if you can find
one or more.... But a quick look at the Yellow Pages seems to show
only Chinese buffets now that OCB is gone..... Every other restaurant
with a buffet is much more expensive and usually a much smaller place
where we probably couldn't hang around. Denny's or Perkins might be
the primary options.
