Subject: 432.110 Monday net at 8 PM CDT

Merry Christmas Gents

Net Monday night at 8 PM CST / 9 PM EST 432.110.

Thanks for helping build an amazing amount of activity on 432 tropo all over the Midwest and beyond over the last 6-8 years.

We have new guys signing on every week so I will repeat the procedure I use to run the net.

1st I start the net at 8 PM CST with my array pointed at Kansas. SW. Then S, SE, E, NE, N etc. It takes about 5-10 minutes in each direction depending on activity. If you miss your chance to check in when I look your way I will pick you up after the net. I will not interrupt the sequence and swing back as everyone expects me at roughly the same time each week.

2nd Use the on4kst 144/432 Region 2 chat site to follow the sequence and alert me and the group that you are on.

3rd Call for at least 30 seconds as my array is 4 x 32 foot HB DL6WU yagis beam width 8 degrees and I need to find you. My power is 1500 watts so just because you hear me doesn't mean I easily pick you up. Other guys help me dig out the weak ones. Calling blind out of sequence without letting us know on the chat site is futile.

4th Give your grid on chat site and on the air so I can more easily find you.

5th Please refrain from talking over the net. It's hard enough for me to dig out the very weak ones. When there is chatter on the freq it's impossible.

I will set up a check in freq before the net 15 minutes on 432.120 0r 432.125 on CW for those guys like K4XR or W4ZRZ in Alabama. If you are way out there and want to try CW let me know. K4XR and W4ZRZ have 1500 watts and huge arrays. They are workable all the time at 536 and 591 miles respectively. If you are 600 miles away have 100 watts , one yagi, and are on a mountain I'll try. But be reasonable unless the band is open.
