Hi Rich, Hi NLRS,
Long-time no type or talk. I've been off the air now for 2+ years but
still try to boost VHF/UHF activity levels via kc9bqa.com.
Rich, I've reposted your initial email from Sunday to kc9bqa.com. I have
many readers (and email recipients) that don't belong to NLRS or BC (despite
my best efforts to recruit). Always trying to cast a wider net in getting
more V/U signals on the air. I kindly ask you to consider doing something
similar to this promotion in a multi-band VHF contest, when there's more
stations on. The Sprints have been quieter and quieter; but it sure can't
hurt to start something, somewhere. Perhaps others will weigh in.
Better yet, perhaps others will GET ON 144 MHz on Monday evening, Sept.
19th.
Hope it helps, 73,
Todd KC9BQA

PS: Shameless plug -- tonight is 144.240 net night. WB9LYH in EN54 has
been calling it for years now, and start time is 8pm. Mark looks SW, W and
NW about 8:20-8:45pm, give or take. All are welcome, as always. Plus
WB9LYH has a big signal and is always looking to push the propagation
limits. Nudge, nudge to the Dakotas and VE-4 stations.
You can always learn more about the 144.240 Wed. net at kc9bqa.com plus
you can follow along at the www.ON4KST.com real-time ham chat rooms. Many
different rooms (bands) are available, we use the IARU Region 2 Chat for
144-432 MHz. This free and no-BS service now has 1000's of registered users
across the USA and Canada (not to mention the world, in different chats)

Hi All -
I've gotten notes from many station letting me know they are checking their
schedules to have the night open.
So far KA0PQW and K9MU have committed (thanks guys!).
I've got notes out to the rovers to see if I can get them out on the roads
for this short contest.
Who else will be active? The Fall 2-Meter Sprint is Monday, September 19th
from 7 - 11pm.
Let me know your plans! Join the fun!
Rich N0HJZ
