Thanks to all of you that got on for some contest activity. The contest was a nice diversion for all that has been going on here all summer. Pat is recovering well from her pancreatic surgery, but all kinds of ups and downs. It seems like every 2 or 3 days we have some major change that must be addressed.

The conditions for the contest seemed pretty poor for the most part, as always a few exceptions from time to time, but not near as good as the conditions were for the Aug UHF contest. Bummer, the entire EN36 crew seemed to have disappeared, they must have succumbed to the beautiful weather. I must admit, the gorgeous weekend WX made it very hard to stay in the shack. Northern stations in the log included: NT0V, W0PHD, VE4MA, VE3KRP, KB0CIM, WB0DBQ. All of these guys were unique grids and make a huge difference in the multipliers, especially when worked on multiple bands. Rovers accounted for 28 or my 104 QSOs (27% of the total number of Qs). Rovers include: K0DAS, KC0P, N0HZO, W9FZ, KA9VVQ. Thanks guys and gals for your roves, most of your Qs over 200miles distant. Rovers provided activity that was predictable OFF of the calling frequencies where they could be located and worked. Calls around the calling frequency were very difficult again. SO NICE to have Rod K0DAS back in the log again. Before this contest it was the Sept VHF contest back in 2011 when I last worked Rod. Great signals on 2m, I heard him only once on any other band, but could not catch his attention for a try.
I total of 104 QSOs and 55 multipliers -- score 8,855pts  This is just below my 18 year median but well below the 18 year Sept contest average of 14K+.
