Sunday only, primarily afternoon/evening. It was a lot of fun to get
on the air and work some familiar stations and some new ones. Many
thanks to those who participated, and I hope some of the first-time
contest operators enjoyed it and will be back next time.

Regards,
  Bill

Comments:

Down in the urban canyon, well below rooflines in a fairly densely populated
area.
6m SSB/CW: 100 W, Moxon up 20'.
2m SSB/CW: 50 W , 3-element Yagi up 15'.
2m FM: 5 W, J-pole up 10'.
70cm FM: 5 W, 7-element yagi hand-held.

I was pleased to see some good action on FM, where I made 3 QSOs on 2m and 2 on
70cm. I missed one 2m FM station which I heard. It also seemed as though
overall participation locally was up---that made this contest much more fun.

On SSB/CW, the DX was hard to hear, so only three unique grids worked: EN34,
EN35, EN44. EN33 was heard just above the noise, and not long enough to get in
a QSO.

Toward the end of the contest I tried meteor scatter, but without success on
either 2m or 6m. I think there's too much noise and too little signal (coming
in or going out) down here in the urban canyon.
