Hello UHFers
Please help us get the net check ins over 20 this week.
Even though last week was a holiday, we broke 15 check ins.
Remember I start looking SSE toward K9LQZ in EM68 and rotate east, northeast, north etc ending up
looking SSW toward K0DOK and KO0Z.
When I am checking stations in please take them up off the net frequency should you want to
chat. That way I can keep the net moving along and the guys out west don’t have to listen to white noise for
an hour waiting to check in.
KO0Z wrote up and photographed our last antenna building session at my place. He submitted it to CQ for publication
in the July issue. Next he plans to write up specific instructions on one of the excellent yagis we have been building for just the material cost. Everyone at the building session pitches in to crank out a ready to go matched yagi in a few hours. If you need an excellent HB yagi following the very successful DL6WU design join our next antenna building get together. Cost averages far less than $75 for the 25 foot 18 dbd gain yagi and they are as good as the best commercial yagis costing many hundreds of dollars. We have built power dividers as well for stacking. Building successful yagis is no longer rocket science like it was 50 years ago when I started building yagis.
