[NLRS] VHF support of Field Day ?

I am going to be at Rochester Amateur Radio Club field day, EN33ow. I want  
to show
some of the local FM crowd ARES what can be done with beams and power. We  
are 
going to attempt to have them put their HT on directional antennas and see  
what
repeaters we can hit. Beyond that, I would like to demo SSB and / or  CW.
 
Past experience is we don't get much response on 144.200, which I will  try.
Anybody within close range willing to respond to a heads up phone call  ?
This might be Saturday afternoon, 2 to 5 PM, assuming 6M is not open.
I would like to think I will get 10 people to try it down here. But more  
likely
I will get three.
