The League has the September VHF contest results out on their website. Makes for a fun read. Note the 2m grid map from W8SPM who ran 10 watts portable from Spruce Knob (WVa) and worked 76 grids.

On the national scene, congratulations to W0UC who placed 8th overall in the SOHP category and to KA9VVQ/R who placed 7th overall in the Rover class. The NLRS placed 10th out of 21 clubs in the Medium Club catagory. We need to give a tip of the hat to the Badger Contests who placed 7th.

In the Dakota Division K0SIX placed 1st in the SOLP category, K0AWU 1st in the SOHP category, W0NE 1st in the Mulit-op category, and KA9VVQ placed 1st in the Rover category. W0UC also placed 1st in the Central Division for SOHP. My apologies to anyone that I may have missed.

The article states that overall log submissions are trending upper for this contest with 545 logs this year of which 63 were in the newer SO3B category. I think locally activity was down in September, perhaps a reflection of the locally higher activity in the June, July (plus CSVHF), August (x2) and September (x2) VHF+ contest events.
