[NLRS] [BC'ers] Two-Twenty-Tuesday SPRINT (and THANKS for 144 last Monday!)

I was on for the 2 meter sprint. My rotor went down just before the sprint.
Still was able to work as far north as KA0RYT with my halo.

I'm planning on being on for the 222 sprint (different rotor) and hope to
work some stations. BTW, I call CQ on 222 almost every day at random times
with nary a reply. Would really be nice for ops to be on the various bands
not only during contests!

If you can monitor/call on 223.5 FM, that would be helpful too. There are a
lot more FM only rigs out there on 222 than transverters. I started out
running FM only on 222 and was able to work ops on 222 during non-sprint
contests, by asking the ops to listen for me on FM.

What hours are you planning on operating tomorrow John? I'll look for you.
Probably be calling on 222.100 unless I actually here other stations, then
I'll spread out up/down the band.

Karl

Subject: [BC'ers] Two-Twenty-Tuesday SPRINT (and THANKS for 144 last
Monday!)

Hello BCers,

First of all, THANKS to Lloyd, N9LB, and Ted, W9NHE for being out there
from north of the Cheddar Curtain for last Monday's 144 MHz Spring Sprint
and making it into my log. I heard some CW that I'm pretty sure was Dave,
KF8QL from over across the lake, and Mike (WB8BZK) told me that Bob, W9EWZ
was out there later.

I realize that stations with 222 MHz capability are getting rarer and rarer
BUT WILL there be any other BCers out there WITH 222 capability for
tomorrow;s second Sprint of the Spring season? 7pm to 11 pm local time (but
you all already knew that, right?)

My present plans are for a brief outing, trying to surround the local
EN51/52/61/62 Grid corner in fairly quick fashion as I have to be back home
'early' like I did last Monday. Presently, I'm planning to go with JUST my
omni loop (and not bother with my 5 element small yagi).

73, JK
