At this point, we have 7 interested participants. But, we've coming up on
the deadline for your input.
If you haven't already indicated the specific Kuhne model numbers you're
interested in, please respond with this information. Then I'll be able to go
ahead and request a quote from Kuhne. You're not committed to this process
until you've agreed (via e-mail) to the Kuhne price quote which I'll
feedback to you after I get it from them.

So, this is the last call for input and/or specific Kuhne model numbers.

Note that I'll be arriving in MN by May 26th after which we'll distribute
these items (after they are shipped and clear customs). As we've learned
before, this takes a while and will probably be sometime in June.

Subject: [NLRS] Kuhne multi-club group purchase interest - response
requested

I've had several inquiries about doing this again now that the exchange rate
is quite favorable. As you're probably aware, we can get a VAT, club, wire
transaction and combined shipping discounts if we consolidate into a single,
multi-club order.

At this point, we need to see who may be interested in participating and
what Kuhne products they're interested in?

If you're "interested" then please reply to this e-mail (directly to
jim.k0mhc at earthlink.net <mailto:jim.k0mhc at earthlink.net> ) stating your
name, call and Kuhne product(s) that you're interested in. Serious inquiries
only please.

After a two week period of time for your inputs, we'll discuss the potential
order size with Kuhne to see if we qualify (for their club discount). If so,
then I'll request a per item quote from Kuhne. Once you receive the Kuhne
quote, then you'll be asked to commit to the order (there will be some
uncertainty over the daily currency exchange rates and actual shipping
costs) but, we'll be in the ball park.

This process won't work if you need something quickly as the negotiations,
quote, build and shipping times are longer than you would expect. Everything
needs to be built and tested before they can ship anything (for our best
combined shipping cost).

Wednesday, April 15th will be the cutoff for your preliminary input so check
on their website for product information: Kuhne electronic

Make sure that you're looking at their products for amateur radio; not
commercial applications. Note also that they offer many of their products as
kits.

Also, they have extremely effective heat sinks, sequence controllers and
crystal heaters for those of us that are living on the edge.

I have no relationship with Kuhne or DB6NT other than being a frequent
customer. Either Arliss or I can try to answer some of your questions based
on our experience with Kuhne products.
