reports on building the kit in considerable detail with lots of close up
pictures.

The RSGB article at: http://www.microwavers.org/10ghz-starter.htm
alleges there's a similar article by G8ACE but I've not been able to
find it with google.

The google hit claims some G8ACE comments on 10 GHz but so far I've not
been able to log in.

There probably still some 106.5 MHz crystals at Axeman University.

The DEMI transverter and test equipment is covered well in the
International Microwave Handbook. Several years ago it was less
expensive direct from RSGB than through ARRL. With the lowered Euro it
should be even more so today. The DEMI transverter should also be
covered well on W1GHZ web pages since its his design.

The assembly manuals for both DEMI and Kuhne transverter kits can be
downloaded from their web sites.

I've not found the DUBUS article I remember either.

I was thinking of taking advantage of Jim's club order to finally get on the band. If other's were thinking of doing this, how about a couple of group build weekends?
