OK guys reality and time are closing in on me as I prepare to move to
Florida from MN in a few weeks
I have about 5000-6000 lbs (3000+ manuals I would guess ???) Free for
pickup about an hour SSE of Minneapolis
Here are the caveats
1) All must be picked up no later than Sunday Nov 23
2) Winner must take ALL of them , no cherry picking, first plan
presented to me with the highest probability of success takes them all
3) All are boxed in banker boxes, about 125 boxes at last count (40+
lbs/box)
4) They are not inventoried though the first 100 boxes are pretty much
boxed "in order". Don't ask me if such and such a manual is in there I
have no time left to mess with it
5) They are not palatalized, they are currently on the 2nd floor of a
private home,
6) Of the 125 boxes all but about 5 or 6 are HP manuals, the rest are
mixed including a few Tektronix
7) I will not participate in helping you load bring your own crew
8) There are 5 four drawer file cabinets and one 2 drawer (all empty)
free of the taking as well
9) IF they are not gone by Nov 23 they me just be burned..sorry but my
back is against the wall
10) A hand truck will greatly facilitate your progress
11) I am sure there is more but I dont remember just now (poor old man)
12) NO I am not getting out of the PDF-CD-Manual business anytime soon,
just getting rid of a lot paper
To put the cost of moving in perspective I initially was going to take
these with me as part of my house hold move and based on the weight
alone it was almost $6000. I had offered them to a friend in Denver
(about 1000 mile trip) in the end he figured that it would cost him
$2000 to fly and rent a Uhaul back
