I got 3 quick responses to my offer of an Extigy sound device. So it is
going to the first requester. If you did not get a reply to me directly, it
is because I haven't gotten around to sending out the "sorry" notices yet.
but the "winner" was notified, so he knows who he is.
Next up, a group of items that I would like to get at least a little bit of
money for:
-- SoftRock RxTx+Xtall v6.3 Kit
-- USB to I2C adapter for SoftRock v6.3 Kit
-- 10/12/15M PA/Filter Kit
-- 17/20/30M PA/Filter Kit
-- 40/80M PA/Filter Kit
-- 160M PA/Filter Kit
-- Creative E-MU 0202 Audio Interface
Put it all together (including assembling the circuit boards), add your own
PC and some free software, and you have yourself a nice Software-Defined
Radio Transceiver that covers 2 or 3 bands at a time, over the range of
160M through 10M. (The filter boards plug into the main SDR board.) This is
NOT a current model. Tony Parks (KB9YIG) is now selling the SoftRock
Ensemble kits for $89, but with your choice of only one band group:
10/12/15M, 17/20/30M, 20/30/40M, 40/80M, or 160M. So this older model is a
bit more versatile if you are willing to plug in the filter for a different
band group. There is also an aftermarket board called the MoBo which can
interface to the SoftRock v6.3 and switch in appropriate filters for any of
the bands, but I do not have one.
The EMU 0202 can go up to 192 KHz on a Windoze/Linux machine, or 96 KHz on
an Apple Macintosh machine. One sold on eBay for $100 a couple of months
ago. It is an external box that connects to the host PC via USB, like the
Extigy.
The SoftRock kits are "new old stock"; I bought them a few years ago and
never got around to assembling them. The E-MU 0202 is also "new old stock",
i.e. a discontinued item but in the original box and complete. As mentioned
in my earlier posting, I am selling because of (a) cleaning out my shack to
have less stuff to haul to Texas when I move there in October, (b) making
my house look more attractive to potential buyers by removing most of the
clutter, and (c) I have two other SDR transceivers (and one SDR receiver on
a USB dongle) so this is excess to my needs.
Once again, I'd rather sell to the group than deal with eBay. If
interested, make me an offer. I'd prefer to sell the whole collection
together if possible, but if a lot of folks ask for different parts of the
collection and I can reasonably move it all out that way, I would consider
splitting it up.
Thanks for your interest.
