[NLRS] August UHF Contest

Without a big tall array on 432, I've not found much activity in central
or eastern Iowa. There appear to be pockets in northern Illinois and
maybe the twin cities, but I haven't worked many in either place lately.
I suspect my antenna and feed is at fault and not being high enough to
see over the Morton building in the back yard (north view) isn't a
benefit. K2DRH is the anchor for the bands you have. And will be working
both metropolitan areas.
I may be out not working hard at roving with an omni loop on my truck in
front of my camper. I plan on going to the antique power show west of
Marshalltown Saturday morning, then wandering between EN32 and EN31 over
to at least EN42 and 41. There is a slight chance I might get as far
east as EN51 and 52, but very slight. I figure on over nighting near
Cedar Rapids and going to the hamfest on Sunday morning. Then I could
wander north or south for a couple more grids EN40 and EN30 or EN43 and
EN33 back to home at EN32FH.
There is a slight chance I might decide the omni horizontal antenna is
too limited and mount a 12 dBd yagi instead. There is also a slight
chance I might throw in the 10 GHz rover station, if I can modify the
camper to make unloading it from the truck easier, though I could haul
it in the camper too.
Travel this weekend and weather that weekend could impact the execution
of the plan.
