Hello NLRS land -
The Packrats and NEWS will be participating in the ARRL Centennial event this July and will be supporting a "VHF/UHF Weak Signal" special interest booth. In doing so they are looking to other weak signal clubs like the NLRS to help with staffing and to help financially. I believe the cost for special interest booths is $200. So I have two questions for the club -
1. Is anyone planning on traveling to the ARRL Centennial event this summer and that could help out with manning the VHF/UHF weak signal booth? Times are 9-5 on Friday and 9-4 on Saturday, July 18 and 19.
2. Are there any club members who would disagree with the club allocating $50 in support of this booth? That is, does anyone disagree?
If you have any comments you can reply direct to me at w0zq at aol.com.
73, Jon

Subject: ARRL Centennial Booth
Greetings,
Packrats and News have agreed to anchor a "VHF/UHF Weak Signal" special
interest booth at the Centennial in July.
We decided to make it a joint effort to allay the manpower cost.
We would like your group (and SEVHF) to join is in manning the booth.
If we get at least four groups involved, the cost will be less than 50
dollars.
That's the trivial part. Hopefully those who attend will assist in
manning the booth.
Times are 9-5 on Friday and 9-4 on Saturday. It will also be a great
place to meet and store your belongings.
Please let me know your interest level.
And are there any other weak signal groups that I should be soliciting?
Thanks,
Phil K3TUF
