Hello All !! Dennis and Bill make some very important statements and the 'local situation' kind of dictates the freq requirements .... I just wanted to share that the 'BGA beacon is readily used by alot of operators ...... The beacon sub-band is .275 to .300 - if it needs to be moved . Anyway , I will be looking for it this weekend ! Tnx + 73 !! Ron KA0RYT

 Arliss,

Still hearing you this morning albeit very
lightly.   For about an hour last night you
 were a constant S4.

I will echo Dennis's sentiments about sliding down in
frequency, while I am pointed at your beacon the .293 beacon
is S5 off the back and side of my antenna, if you get too
close to that I will not hear you.

This is one of those things where you flat out cannot please
everybody but again thanks for putting the beacobn on the
 air!!

I have a beacon in EN07lx near Ft. Totten, ND, on 144.293
(also 432.310), and it is very loud at my location in
 EN08oc.

Arliss, I like your beacon where it is on .297.  I
heard it weakly several times last night and it was in and
out of the noise this morning.  That's the ideal for me
since it tests the limits of my system and gives a great
 reference for antenna pointing.

If you move it down a few KHz, I doubt I will hear it
because of the strong signal I have on .293.  I've
never head that WD9BGA beacon.  The beacon in EN15 near
Johnson, MN, has been a mainstay here for years but lately
I've had a buzzing noise on that frequency that has made it
difficult to hear. The VE4ARM beacon in Austin MB on .280 or
.281 is a good one for me but it doesn't tell me much about
 conditions to the south.

Whatever you decide, thanks for putting it on and spreading
 the word.

 73,

 Dennis NT0V
