Soapbox: Had some family issues to deal with that severely limited my time. My apologizes to those that I usually work. The shack was still essentially torn apart from my KSQP and UHF contest efforts so the first task was to re-connect everything. We had a nasty hail storm go through here a few weeks ago too so I spent some extra time checking out all the antennas. Good news is that all the antennas, including the loopers, made it through A-OK. This sort of surprised me a little bit given the amount of hail that we had, I had expected some problems with the 902 and up loopers. The bad news is that I found out why I was so weak on 2304 during the UHF contest as the transverter is only putting out 2 watts instead of 30 and the receiver seems a bit numb as well. Oh well, something else to take a look at. Highlight of the (ever so brief) contest was working N0AKC on 3456 on Saturday, that was fun.
Thanks for all the rovers being out and about, sorry that I could not join you .... I looked forlornly at my rover rack on Sunday.
73, Jon
