Friendly reminder to say hello to the 144.240 long-range
net any old Wednesday. WB9LYH EN54cl is our usual
net control and when Mark can't go, either N9OLT or
myself are able to pitch in.

    Last week, there were 26 check-ins from a multi-state
area. As always, I typed up a net report, which is available
here: http://kc9bqa.com/?p=6880

DX is encouraged to listen in. WB9LYH has stacked
17B2's and 500 W from a ridgetop location. He makes
400+ mile contacts with decent stations under flat conditions.
Those of you in the Dakotas, outstate MN and VE3/4 are
cordially invited. If you aren't personally interested, please
spread the word to those who might be.

You can also follow the progress of the net by using the
free and no B.S. ham chat at www.on4kst.com. Many
different rooms are available, the one we use is the IARU
Region 2 Chat for 144-432 MHz. By now, over 3600
V/UHF'ers across the USA/VE use this chat -- it is available
24/7. Instructions to register: http://kc9bqa.com/?p=1072

Following the net via that chat page will be especially
useful as we make adjustments to our timetable. For places
like NW WI, MN, and the Eastern Dakotas, you won't have
WB9LYH pointed at you until at least 7:45-8pm every Wed.
Read today's net announcement http://kc9bqa.com/?p=6894
and you'll understand why.

The Spring VHF/UHF Sprints start Apr. 1st, from 7-11pm,
with the 2m band. Full sprint info is available here:
http://kc9bqa.com/?p=6885

You are free to redistribute this info to any ham clubs or
buddies that are VHF-curious.

    73,
