Hi Earl... here's my bio. You may cut if as needed if it is too long:
Dan Anderson is a Senior Emergency Management Coordinator for Hennepin
County Emergency Management, specializing in data collaboration and
communications. As part of his duties, he oversees communications, and has
put together the HCEM Auxiliary Communications Team to serve the needs of
the Hennepin County Emergency Operations Center as well as the amateur radio
communications needs of the City of Minneapolis Emergency Operations Center.
This group, along with the Hennepin County Sheriff's Office's Mobile Amateur
Radio Corps, make up the county's identified RACES operators.
As the Minnesota ARRL Section ARES Section Emergency Coordinator, he
oversees amateur radio emergency communicators who dedicated their time and
equipment to help served agencies in need. Over the past three years, ARES
personnel have volunteered more than $750,000 worth of their time. He holds
a General-class amateur radio license, callsign KD0ASX.
Dan is the former Nobles County Emergency Management Director. There he
became heavily involved at the regional and state level with the ARMER
system, Minnesota's statewide digital trunked public safety communications
network. In Nobles County, he was an integral part of the beginning stages
of ARMER implementation and served as the county's ARMER Local System
Administrator. He is also a Minnesota certified Emergency Manager.
He also chair of the Strategic Technology Reserve Subcommittee of the
Statewide Radio Board's Interoperability Committee. The STR Subcommittee
