Hi Barry -
Just checked the beacon .... 222.061 with nearly 10 watts through 80' of new LMR400 and a big wheel at 60'. From my qth in south Mpls, working NW and N is my most difficult direction. Over the years I have theorized that its the city heat island that disrupts any tropo in that direction for me .... the guys to the west of me and to the north of me do better in your direction.

Tropo has been here for the past few weeks, but not many stations on...anymore.
Keep looking for 222 beacon but have not seen it yet

The WD9BGA beacon in EN53ba on 144.297 is peaking at S5 with lots of QSB.
Should be good tropo tonight.
