That's pretty amazing. A similar story - a friend of mine noticed
deteriorating SWR and performance of a tribander. It was up about 150 feet.
He took it down and took the traps apart. The traps were stuffed with
little pieces of straw. He found that these little white spiders (not more
than 1/4" in size) had been carrying these little pieces of straw up his
150 foot tower and out onto the elements, entering thru the drain holes in
the bottom of the traps to build nests in them.
