Hello NLRS -

The Minnesota QSO Party (MnQP) is Saturday, Feb 2.   All sorts of information about the MnQP can be found at http://w0aa.org/index.php/mn-qso-party including free logging software, rules, and a county activity map.  If you have not participated in this event in the past, you are missing out in a really really fun radio happening.   Last year the NLRS placed 4th out of 63 listed clubs ..... see http://w0aa.org/docs/mnqp/MNQP_2012_RESULTS.pdf  .   For those fully entrenched in VHF there is a VHF only operating category.   For those who play on HF but don't like CW, there is a HF phone-only category.   For those who swing both ways there is a mixed mode (CW and Phone) category.   Last, we encourage ARES station activty as a winter training opportunity as well and encourage such stations to give ARES as their name.

So mark Feb 2, 8:00 am to 6:00 pm, on your calendars for the MnQP.  Don't forget to send in a log and mark NLRS as your club.   

W0ZQ/m will most likely be out and about somewhere and I'd love to work a bunch of NLRSers.
