[NLRS] Beacons

He Jerry
Find a 10 Ghz beacon for me and I'll put it on the air. I have a view to the
horizon for the full western 180 degrees. I have EW90 and connectors and
it's a short run from the shack to the location looking west outside of the
basement. A brick at the antenna would of course be best.
To the east it's all trees across town and I cannot get high enough to get
over them.

There are allegedly some beacons in the Des Moines area. I've never
found them at 40 miles distance so I wouldn't bother listing them. They
are listed in the ARRL repeater directory.

KM0T has had beacons on 10G and maybe 24G in NW Iowa. So says his web
page. I've not looked for or heard them.

I wish for a 10G beacon long about Albert Lea or Mason City so I could
check out proposed rover sites by RF and visual. It would also be handy
for twin cities stations checking out propagation and receiving performance.
