MGA-86576 is shown as items 44 and 45 so the subcontractor has quit.

If DEMI has some he will want to keep them for products and then will
want to find substitutes.

Same thing for the 36077.
First column is the list number, second column the part, third column
says these were standard parts and the fourth column shows the suggested
replacements:
> 42 ATF-36077-STR Standard VMMK-1225/VMMK-1218/ATF-36163
> 43 ATF-36077-TR1 Standard VMMK-1225/VMMK-1218/ATF-36163
> 44 MGA-86576-STRG Standard MGA-86563/VMMK-3803/MGA-30989
> 45 MGA-86576-TR1G Standard MGA-86563/VMMK-3803/MGA-30989

These quotes are from
www.avagotech.com/docs/OBS070312WSD2

Rev 2 of that document extends the time for the last delivery:
> Dear valued customers,
> Avago Technologies has received an overwhelming last time buy
 > demand for certain products listed in Product Obsolescence
 > Notification: OBS070312WSD2. Limited raw material and production
 > capacity is constraining us from fulfilling the shipment within

 > for the products listed below will now be extended to 28th Feb 2014.

www.avagotech.com/docs/OBS070312WSD2-RevA
And includes the 36077 and 86576.

This obsolescence schedule has been known for nearly a year.

I've not yet looked up the suggested replacements.

I heard from Barry last year after MUD that Al Ward had redesigned DEMI
products to use NEC transistors instead of 36077 because NEC were good
parts, easier to acquire, and he's retired from Avago. He probably also
knew of the 36077 going to go obsolete already. But I've not seen any
hint from DEMI of the changes. Steve is slow to update the on line
catalog so it may not exactly represent his actual stock. I have no
information on whether he has bought way ahead or has been depending on
buying parts as needed.

Digi-Key has some interesting MACOM parts and I think Mouser has
Skyworks now.

Another obsolete part is the HSCH9161 liked for 47 and 78 GHz mixers.
Its been obsolete since 2007. There's nothing in the current Avago list
of Schottky diodes rated for higher than 26.5 GHz. The BAT15-099 has
been shown to work at 47 and 78 GHz but not well. The article I found in
DUBUS said it might get out to a kilometer, but that hadn't been proven
when the article was written.
