Lots of radar false returns for the weather radars west of the Twin Cities and into the Dakotas this morning. The Hepburn tropo index http://www.dxinfocentre.com/tropo.html shows extreme red (good !) over eastern SD at 1800 utc today. Its not a large area, but what is there looks intense.
