Zack or anyone else facing the "to /R or NOT to /R" question,

Zack asked:

The minimal 'request' for Rovers submitting their logs is to
make sure the CALLSIGN: line in the Cabrillo header has the
proper notation with the "/R" suffix to the call (such as
CALLSIGN: K9JK/R for me).

It is "preferred" to also have the Sent Call that is on the QSO:
lines agree with what is on the CALLSIGN: line, such as:
     QSO: 432 PH 2013-08-03 1800 K9JK/R EN52
(other station's info)
but that is not AS important, if the CALLSIGN: line is entered
as above.

What matters the MOST, however, is that the log checking program
used for UHF (and VHF) contests relies even MORE on the robot's
resolution of the various CATEGORY-xxx: tags of Cabrillo version
3 and will treat and process a log that it finds with "Rover"
categories (Rover, Limited Rover and Unlimited Rover) AS a ROVER
log, even if the "/R"s are absent (in CALLSIGN: and QSO: lines).

For Rover, the set:
     CATEGORY-ASSISTED: NON-ASSISTED
     CATEGORY-OPERATOR: SINGLE-OP
     CATEGORY-POWER: LOW
     CATEGORY-STATION: ROVER
     CATEGORY-TRANSMITTER: LIMITED
will work.

For Limited Rover, the set:
     CATEGORY-ASSISTED: NON-ASSISTED
     CATEGORY-OPERATOR: SINGLE-OP
     CATEGORY-POWER: LOW
     CATEGORY-STATION: ROVER-LIMITED
     CATEGORY-TRANSMITTER: LIMITED
will work.

For Unlimited Rover, the set:
     CATEGORY-ASSISTED: NON-ASSISTED
     CATEGORY-OPERATOR: SINGLE-OP
     CATEGORY-POWER: LOW
     CATEGORY-STATION: ROVER-UNLIMITED
     CATEGORY-TRANSMITTER: UNLIMITED
will work.

If there is more than ONE op, change the CATEGORY-OPERATOR:
SINGLE-OP to CATEGORY-OPERATOR: MULTI-OP *AND* add in an
OPERATORS: line listing the operators calls (such as: OPERATORS:
K9JK WB8BZK as I've used for when Mike has been my roving
partner).

OR, if you are still using Cabrillo Version 2, "CATEGORY: ROVER
ALL HIGH" will work if you want to enter as a Rover. This will
work ONLY for 'classic' Rover; to enter as a Limited or
Unlimited Rover, the "set" of Cabrillo version 3 CATEGORY-XXX:
lines above must be used.

I hope that helps (though I see that Zack's call IS on the Logs
Received Report both AS "W9SZ" and as "W9SZ/R", though BOTH show
the Category as Rover...unlike my separate entry for "K9JK/R" as
Limited Rover and "K9JK" as Single-op...I'll make sure the Log
Checker knows to check both logs, and I suspect that one of the
calls will, at some point, 'disappear' from the Logs Received
list).

SO...presuming one of Zack's logs is, essentially, a 'dupe',
I'll drop the 47 as of my last check to 46, "only" 204 logs to
go to get to 250!

73, JK
