[NLRS] 6GHz Elliptical waveguide

As I mentioned back in August, I'm helping a friend strip some old
microwave sites. A couple of the sites still have elliptical waveguide
running up the side. Since it mates with WR-137, I assume it has about
the same specs, i.e. 5.8-6.4GHz is the bottom end of its range.

I'm not sure when the elliptical waveguide will be coming off the
towers, probably not this year, but I'd like to know now if anyone is
interested and I should try to save some, if the possibility comes up.
If anyone is interested, it would not be a freebie, it would cost
somewhere around the amount paid by the recyclers for the same material.
And your name would certainly be on my list of helpers for taking it
down....

And if you have any interest in HF experimental antennas, this stuff
would be excellent for building a 80M or 160M magnetic loop antenna.
Well, I can't be sure about that since I haven't tried running the
dimensions through the online calculators yet, but it should certainly
work for a small loop for 20M to 80M. The key to making an efficient
small loop is to reduce the loss in the antenna itself. And since this
stuff is copper and about 1.5"x1", it should be pretty low loss, much
better than aluminum or steel....

Send me an email if there you have any interest.
